A professional screenwriter, director and author with 12+ years of experience in the television industry and OTT platforms.

She started her career assisting on post production at Red Chilies Entertainment and moved on to work as an Assistant Director on Kaun Banega Crorepati, assisting on television and film scripts, both fiction and nonfiction.

She has worked on shows for Hotstar, Discovery Network, including their channels TLC, Animal Planet, Discovery ID, History Channel and the National Geographic Channel. Her documentary on climate change India 2050 for Discovery Channel won Best Documentary at the Asian Academy Creative Awards.

Her fiction writing includes shows like Ashoka on Colours, Lajwanti on Zee TV.

Her work as a director includes 15 short documentary films for 101India.com for which she received many accolades and the chance to speak at TEDxHIT Kolkata.

In the last two years, she ventured into long-format writing with her debut novel “Urmila: The Forgotten Princess” published by Bloomsbury Publishing, writing two feature films for Blue Monkey Films and a series based on venture capitalism in India for Ronnie Screwvala’s production house RSVP Movies.
