Srikumar Rao
Srikumar S. Rao is renowned as an elite coach, speaker, and author specializing in personal transformation and professional success. Born in Bombay (now Mumbai) in 1951, Rao’s educational journey took him from Delhi to Rangoon and Kolkata before graduating as a physics major from St. Stephen’s College, Delhi University. He then pursued an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, followed by a Ph.D. in Marketing from Columbia Business School in New York in 1980.
Rao’s professional background includes executive roles at Warner Communications and the Continental Group, where he worked on notable projects such as the advertising strategy for “The Exorcist.” Subsequently, he transitioned to academia, serving as a marketing professor at institutions like Baruch College and the C.W. Post campus of Long Island University.
In 1994, Rao created the groundbreaking course Creativity and Personal Mastery (CPM), which he initially taught at Long Island University before moving it to Columbia Business School.
