Vipin Kumar Sharma is a versatile Indian actor, editor, and filmmaker renowned for his impactful performances across various mediums. Born and raised in a slum in Delhi, Sharma’s early passion for acting was ignited by theater, particularly after being inspired by an interview featuring the legendary actor Sanjeev Kumar on the radio. He embarked on his acting journey by joining a small Punjabi theater group in Delhi, where he undertook various roles, including selling tickets and serving tea.
Sharma’s dedication to honing his craft led him to pursue formal training at prestigious institutions such as the National School of Drama in New Delhi, India, and the Canadian Film Centre in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. His acting career took off with a remarkable debut in Doordarshan’s television series “Bharat Ek Khoj” in 1989, followed by his feature film debut in “Krishna” (1996).
